Welcome to our online volunteer system where you can find the information you need to sign up for one of our many build days.  At the moment, we are building in Hartford. Hartford Area Habitat for Humanity is an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing organization. Habitat for Humanity works in partnership with people in need to build and renovate decent, affordable housing.

Volunteers like you provide most of the labor, and individual and corporate donors provide money and materials to build Habitat houses. Partner families invest hundreds of hours of labor - "sweat equity" - into building their homes and the homes of others.  Since 1989 and with the hard work and dedication of our volunteers, homeowners and staff  we have completed over 175 homes!  The growth in our building program has been a blessing for our Habitat homeowners and our community.  You can help our mission to provide simple, decent housing to our families in many ways.

At the moment, only scheduled volunteers are allowed at the sites.  The Construction Staff reserves the right to dismiss anyone who has not been scheduled through the office. Weather cancellations are rare but do occur!  Make sure to follow directions in the registration process and call the construction supervisor if you have any questions regarding weather.

If you need to complete Community Service hours for court or for school, please read this information first, DO NOT register on the HUB without contacting our office first! Community Service volunteers MUST be cleared by the Hartford Habitat office prior to scheduling a date at the worksite.  Any hours completed prior to having the correct paperwork completed and approved by the office will be voided.  No exceptions!!!
